Video Update

Here's the latest happenings with Viv.  Gotta keep Uncle Paul up to date =-)  Here are a few short clips...
Viv experienced her first real treat at her birthday party.  Have to say she was a little boring.  I was hoping for some major cake smashing.  She really just loved to play with the frosting!
Viv likes to babble a lot.  Her favorite thing to say is dadadadada.  Luke was hoping that would be her first word.  However, thanks to the dog book at Nana's house her first word is "woof".  Whenever she hears a dog she says woof.  Whenever she sees a dog she says woof.  Whenever she sees a moving animal she says woof.  It seems to be the first word that carries meaning for her and is understandable.  Thanks Nana =-)  I do have to say that she is starting to look at Luke and say "Daddy".  It's so cute.  That's probably her second word.  She is probably trying to say "hi" and "up" too.  It's fun to watch and see as things click in her brain!  Thanks to my neighbors we don't have to get a dog!  We can enjoy their little dog!
Viv loves to read.  She prefers this to almost any activity other than being outside.  She will grab a book and crawl into your lap.  I love love love this.  Hope it lasts forever!
Viv hates the way grass feels on her legs. She makes every effort not to allow her knees to touch the grass.  Here is the "Bear Crawl."
We were up in Fort Collins last weekend for Uncle John's graduation.  He had a picture request...
Love it!!!

That's plenty of Viv for now!

Birthday Weekend

As you can see, Viv was very excited to turn 1.  We celebrated with some friends and family on the 28th.
Cute centerpiece my mom did.  Very Hawaiian!
My friends, Kiesa and Jessica, made this decoration for our spring retreat at church.  I stole it for the party.  If you ever need cute centerpieces call me and I'll get you their info!

Kiesa also made our cake!  It was amazing!  You can find her on facebook if you need a good cake - Three Belle's Cakes

Aunt Jenna managed to hold all four babies at the party.  I'm not surprised.  Here she is with James.
Even my dad was holding Jake...He usually doesn't like to hold other people's kids...Must be James' winning personality!

Stacia and I tried to get them to pose for a picture.  The kids were all distracted!

Time for Cake!  Viv wasn't too sure what to do with it.  We've never let her have sweets before.
She loved to play with the frosting and it took a lot of clean up!
Opening presents!  We got a lot of books, toys and clothes!  All things that we really needed.  Luke and I were so excited to get new books.  We are going to hide her old ones.  We're so tired of reading the same thing over and over.  Nice to get some new reading material.  Loved all the great toys and cute clothes and shoes!!!!

It was such a fun day.  Great time to each food and hang out with friends and family!
We made a video for Viv's first year.  You can check it out - First Year Video.

On Sunday Viv, Andy, Pops, Nana, and I went to the zoo! It was perfect weather!
Riding on Pops shoulder and being freaked out by the snakes (love the facial expression)
 Uncle Andy and Nana
Enthralled with the fish!
We had her well visit on her birthday!  Viv is 22 lbs (75-90%) and 30.5 inches long (90-95%).
She's growing so fast!  She is such a sweet, curious little girl.  Excited to see her grow!

First Year Video

A year ago today I went to the doctor's office to see if my water had broke.  It felt like a small leak and sure enough I got great news...Head to the hospital!  Right about now I was arriving at the hospital to begin one of the best adventures!!

This is the "short" recap of her first year.  The people at the party got to see the "long" recap (about 20 minutes).  You are the lucky ones who get to see the fifteen minute version.  This is really for the very hard core Viv fans like Uncle Paul who couldn't be at her party yesterday.  We missed you!  Hope you enjoy this!

Pics of the party will come soon!  It was a great day!

The Zoo with the Ringenberg Family

We went to the zoo with Luke's family this weekend!
Viv was so animated and we had a lot of fun.  Her Aunt and Uncles fought over her the whole time.
