On Easter weekend, Luke and I decided to buy a zoo membership for our family. The Grandmas will be able to take Viv on the days they watch her too! It was an interesting experience. Viv spent a lot of time looking and soaking it in.
Luke carried her the whole time so she could really get close and have a good look at everything.
She did a lot of pointing and waving. I think she enjoyed the birds the most. There is an area of the zoo where you can walk through this open air aviary. You have to be careful to avoid falling bird poop...but all the birds are just flying and walking around within arms reach. They make the greatest noises. Viv spent the whole time waving at different birds.
The hippo surprised her when it came out of the water.
Looking forward to many zoo trips this year. There is a huge new exhibit opening with the elephants in June!
On Easter Sunday we went to the Ringenbergs for lunch. Jim had a swing set up for Viv and she loved it!
